Apps for work

For work, Dreiling relies heavily on TweetDeck and Quicklytics.

With TweetDeck, Dreiling is able to simultaneously monitor Legal Media Matters’ Twitter account, @legalmediamtrs, as well as the English and Spanish language Twitter accounts for Lawyer Tech Review, @lawyertechrvw and @appsabogados. She can retweet and respond to messages using her TweetDeck app as well as track the progress of Tweets she has scheduled for release using TweetDeck on her laptop.

Quicklytics is another favorite. Quicklytics allows Dreiling to quickly access her websites’ Google Analytics traffic data. With the app, she can determine page views and bounce rates with ease as well as track visitors by hour, by country and by referring sources.

App for fun

For fun, Dreiling likes the free version of RunKeeper. The app uses the GPS technology on the iPhone to measure the distance and track her progress. It also records the runner’s speed – or in Dreiling’s case – her very slow pace.

To further her Spanish language skills, Dreiling plays word games on the SpanishDict app. And when her children’s baseball or soccer practices run much longer than originally scheduled, Dreiling has been known to watch a television show or movie on her iPhone using the Netflix app.
