iPad and iPhone

App for work

SugarSynca app for iPad

Conner’s favorite app for work is SugarSync, an online service for file backup, syncing and sharing.

“SugarSync has been wonderful for collaborating with other attorneys,” Conner says. “I like to be overprepared for court and ready for anything. With SugarSync I can have an officeful of legal texts and documents on one tablet.”

SugarSync offers a free 5-gigabyte plan. For those who need more storage, plans range from $4.99 a month for 30 GB to $24.99 per month for 250 GB. The iPad and iPhone apps are free.

App for fun

Runner app with GPS for iPhone

Outside work, Conner says, the app that she uses most is Nike+ GPS. “Running is important to me,” she explains. “It relieves stress, and I feel like I always get some great insight into cases while on a run.”

The Nike+ GPS app tracks the distance, route and pace of each run and tallies total mileage, which, Conner notes, is great for deciding when to replace your running shoes. It also offers motivational features — allowing the user, for instance, to challenge a friend to a run or to post run outcomes on Facebook. “Your Facebook friends can cheer you on by liking your wall posts,” Conner explains.

The Nike+ GPS app, which costs $1.99, is available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. It is offered in English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
